The Evidence Continues To GROW

Evolution IS Impossible

I've often said that it has been known since the late 1960's that evolution is impossible. Yet here we are, fifty years later, and evolution is still believed and accepted as possible. Fifty years is a long time! And year after year the evidence continues to increase (check out our pages here, here and here), making it obvious that evolution is impossible and never happened. So why do people keep hanging on to this dead theory? Because they are dead in their sins.

"Although atheism might have been logically tenable before Darwin, Darwin made it possible to be an intellectually fulfilled atheist." - (Richard Dawkins 1986)

”I suppose the reason why we leapt at the Origin of Species was that the idea of God interfered with our sexual mores” - Sir Julian Huxley

”This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” - John 3:19-21

In other words, there are two options, God or evolution. An extensive search has been under way for third option, but there is no other way. In fact, the existing second option cannot withstand scientific scrutiny, leaving God as the only viable option... but, of course, in our worldly desires the truth is not acceptable. That's why, even after being proven impossible 50 years ago, belief in evolution hangs on. People do not want to be accountable to God.

So... you don't believe evolution scientists have known since the 1960's (and before) that evolution is impossible? In the 1960's the complexity of the cell was becoming more evident, and along with that it became evident that such complexity could not result from random causes:

“The popular conception of primitive cells as the starting point for the origin of the species is really erroneous. There was nothing functionally primitive about such cells. They contained basically the same biochemical equipment as do their modern counterparts.” - David E. Green and Robert Goldberger, Molecular Insights into the Living Process (New York: Academic Press, 1967), page 403.

In addition, by the 1960's it had become apparent that, based on mathematics and probabilities, that evolution was impossible. It literally would take a change in the natural laws for evolution to work.

“It is our contention that if 'random' is given a serious and crucial interpretation from a probabilistic point of view, the randomness postulate is highly implausible and that an adequate scientific theory of evolution must await the discovery and elucidation of new natural laws—physical, physico-chemical, and biological.” - Murray Eden, “Inadequacies of Neo-Darwinian Evolution as a Scientific Theory,” in Mathematical Challenges to the Neo-Darwinian Interpretation of Evolution, ed. P.S. Moorhead and M.M. Kaplan (Philadelphia, Wister Institute Press, 1967) Page 109.

By the 1980's it in-your-face obvious that our increasing ability to see into the cell, and our growing understanding of DNA, was turning up details that did not fit within the ability of evolution to explain.

“We must acknowledge that Darwin's theory does not have the range to encompass the new kinds of data increasingly coming to light.” - Elizabeth Vrba and Stephen J. Gould, “The Hierarchical Expansion of Sorting and Selection: Sorting and Selection Cannot Be Equated,” Paleobiology, vol 12 (1986) page 226

But we can back even further. This quote from 1959 about mutations is interesting:

”The mutation rate affects not only the evolution of the human species but also the life of the individual. Almost every mutation is harmful, and it is the individual who pays the price. Any human activity that tends to increase the mutation rate must therefore raise serious health and moral problems for man.” James F. Crow, “Ionizing Radiation and Evolution,” Scientific American, vol. 201 (September 1959), pages 138-160 (emphasis added).

Sixty years later, in 2019 Michael Behe's book Darwin Devolves makes the same point, showing that although some random mutations may have a short-term benefit, they all damage the genome (or are neutral) and are driving us downward. Every organism on earth is losing genetic information as a result of random mutations, not gaining information. We are going downhill, devolving, all heading toward extinction (don't worry Christian, the Lord will return before humanity goes extinct). Today Behe is telling us the same thing we knew 60 years ago. But, He has developed significantly a deeper scientific proof to back his conclusions. And all this scientifically demonstrates what we already know from the Bible, evolution is impossible. It never happened.

To wrap up, here's a quote from 1957, over 60 years ago, attempting to give the scientific community some hope evolution is still a viable idea in light of the inability of random mutations to bring about evolution.

”The process of mutation is the only known source of the raw materials of genetic variability, and hence of evolution. It is the subject of experimental study, and considerable progress has been accomplished in this study in recent years. An apparent paradox has been disclosed. Although the living matter becomes adapted to its environment through formation of superior genetic patterns from mutational components, the process of mutation itself is not adaptive. On the contrary, the mutants which arise are, with rare exceptions, deleterious to their carriers, at least in the environment which the species normally encounters., Some of them are deleterious apparently in all environments. Therefore the mutation process alone, not corrected and guided by natural selection, would result in degeneration and extinction.” - Theodosius Dobzhansky, “On Methods of Evolutionary Biology,” American Scientist, vol 45 (December 1957), pages 381-392 (emphasis added).

Natural selection was not fully undersrtood at the time, and Dobzhansky looks to natural selection to guide evolution, doing what random mutations are not able to do. But today now know that natural selection does not have the ability to guide mutations. Natural selection is blind. It has no goal. It does not move toward an objective, nor even know there is an objective. It is completely blind. All that natural selection can do is destroy. Natural selection cannot say, “This animal needs wings, so let's select for traits that will result in wings.” Changes such as this require multiple small steps, and because natural selection is blind a multi-step selection process is impossible for natural selection. Why? Because it doesn't know what the necessary steps are, nor can it direct changes to follow those steps, even if it had the ability to know. The result is that natural election always selects for short-term, immediate benefits to the detriment of long-term survival. Natural selection drives all life toward extinction.

The facts are, the deleterious mutations described by Dobzhansky are continually building up, driving life toward extinction. Dobzhanshy's hope was that natural selection would rescue us. That has now been proven impossible. There is no evolution. Just mutations and extinction.

What a sad world we live in. One ruled by death. It sounds like a word without hope. But there is hope. Our hope is in Jesus Christ. He has conquered death. Death has been defeated and God offers this victory to us.

Through His death 2,000 years ago Jesus Christ defeated death. To prove death was defeated, on the third day after His death, Jesus Christ rose from the dead. There was no doubt He was dead. The Romans were experts. No one came off the cross alive. Yet, He was seen, ate with, and interacted with over 500 people (eye-witnesses) after he rose from the dead. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a well documented historical fact. He proved there is life after death.

Death came into the world as a result of sin (Adam disobeying God). Sin keeps us separated from God. Separation from God is so serious that it is called the second death. Why. Because everything that is good comes from God. If you are separated from God, you have nothing good. Nothing. While you are alive, God in His grace, gives you good things. When you physically die, that comes to an end... unless... here is the hope... here is the good news.

Jesus Christ through His death on the cross reconciles us to God. Jesus paid the penalty we earned for disobeying God. That means we are no longer separated from God, but will be with Him... the source of all that is good. So you have a choice. Believe in Jesus and accept this is true. Trust that Jesus Christ has paid your penalty for sin in full... and you will get that gift. Or reject God... reject Jesus, and get exactly what you wanted. Total separation from God forever. An eternity existing with nothing that is good. No water to quench your thirst; nothing to ease your pain; no other people to provide fellowship. Nothing good. It's what we call hell or the lake of fire.

GETTING A RIDE
ON THE ROAD TO LIFE

Romans Road

You will exist forever. The question is, where? Disobeying God is the road to death, and we have all disobeyed God:

For all have sinned [disobeyed God] and fall short of the glory of God. - Romans 3:23

The consequence of sin is death. You will exist experiencing death forever.

For the wages of sin is death... - Romans 6:23a

But there is GOOD News! You can have life!

...but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23b

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8

Instead of our experiencing death forever, Christ died in our place. Repent (turn away from disobeying God), believe this, trusting that Jesus truly did die in your place.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. - Romans 5:1
